April began her dance training at Arthur Murray's, under the direction of Coaches Dick Raymond and Faith Keith. Additional coaches include Didio Barrera, Shirley Johnson, Patty Troy, Bill Davies, Billy Fajardo, Wilson Barrera, and Patrick Johnson. April competed in several NDCA competitions around the United States in the American Smooth and Rhythm categories before moving from choreographer/instructor into studio management.  April’s dance credits include appearing as a featured dancer on ABC's Good Morning America teaching news and weather personality, Sam Champion, the Salsa! Other features include a feature spot on "The Rachel Ray Show" dancing with 'Survivor' star, Colbey Donaldson. April also choreographed and performed an American Style Waltz for NYC’s Channel 7 ABC Documentary for the American Heart Association with DanceSport Founder and Artistic Director, Paul Pellicoro. Additional TV credits include Subway, Ford, and Bronze Salon.


Before moving to New York City to pursue her Communications and Media degree and advanced training in partner dance, April managed three other dance studios along the east coast where she found a particular interest in the advancement of the large-scale studio business model and relationship marketing.  April graduated from New Jersey Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications and Media, cum laude, with a double minor in History and Journalism. April is expected to graduate from Rutgers University with her Master’s Degree in GA in the Spring of 2015. When April is not dancing or studying, you can catch her on the volunteer trail, as she currently serves as Team Leader for charity and mountain and road bicycle marathons including MS Society: Bike MS, Wounded Warrior Project, and Jersey Cares Organization.


April started with DanceSport in 2005 on our instructor roster and is currently serving as Paul Pellicoro's DanceSport Managing Director.

Originally from Boston, Lauren started dancing at the age of 15 studying and competing in International Latin and Standard.  Wanting to take her dancing to the next level she moved to London, England in 2002 for one year to train at the famous studio of Sammy Stopford and Barbara McColl.  When she graduated from Merrimack College, she packed her bags to move to New York training under the world famous Vibeke Toft and Allan Tornsberg.  Lauren turned professional in 2006 winning numerous regional titles in International Latin.  Taking a break from competing in 2011 she focused on teaching youth ,helping juniors become Blackpool finalists.  In 2012 Lauren decided to start competing in American Rhythm.  She and her partner are the 2014 United States Professional Mambo Champions and 2014 World Professional Salsa Champions.
